BioBlitz, Guernsey

Guernsey is hosting it’s first BioBlitz, which is a day of biological surveys in one area aimed at finding as many species as possible whilst also educating about surveying techniques and wildlife in general. We will be running small mammal surveys in the morning and evening, and a stall during in the day to provide information on Guernsey mammals as a whole, including camera trap images and posters.

Fieldwork, Herm

We will be on Herm (a small island in the Channel Islands) conducting live trapping fieldwork on the small mammals present. We are hoping to provide a population estimate for each species, as a baseline for future research, and also to confirm which species can be found on the island.
